Refuge Dance Company returns to the stage on October 18, 19 and 20 for the third iteration of 3 Contemporary Dance with performances that will introduce the audience to a powerful line-up of emerging and established choreographers as part of an evening of dance unlike any other. Artistic Director Katherine Gant shares “As a choreographer in Atlanta, I have found there are not many opportunities to show your work. 3 Contemporary Dance Project was created to fill a gap we saw in the dance community to serve choreographers by providing them a place to present more in-depth works and explore their craft a bit more deeply”

Featured in this year’s performance are the works of established dancemakers Dana Woodruff, of Kennesaw State University Dance and Dance Canvas, and Katherine Gant alongside of emerging choreographers Riley Cooper (freelance artist, Riley Cooper ATL), LaMia Dingle (Reveal Movement), Jacquelyn Pritz (DanceATL), and Olivia Rowe (Esthete Collective)

So what makes 3 Contemporary Dance Project special?  “Come ready for an amazing show, diverse and intense as choreograph goes and breathtaking as far as the dancing goes,“ Ms. Gant states. “and stay after for a dessert reception and dialogue with us, the choreographers and dancers, tell us your thoughts and get to know us better”
