Upcoming Potluck Mixers
DanceATL Potluck Mixer
May 20, 10:30AM-12:30PM at Piedmont Park, Oak Hill
Banter and brunch with members of the Atlanta dance community at DanceATL’s potluck mixer on May 20th at 10:30AM at Piedmont Park (Oak Hill)!
Potluck Mixers are opportunities for all community members to meet other artists, share updates, learn about upcoming events, and support one another as we snack on our favorite BYO goodies.
All are welcome to come and go as you please between 10:30am-12:30pm. We are offering a new timeframe for this potluck mixer to accommodate the varying schedules of artists in the city, if you can’t make this one keep an eye out for our next one! To be mindful of our communal health and safety, we ask that all attendees bring their own food, drink and blanket or chair. If you feel so inclined to bring an item to share, we recommend individually packaged treats or drinks.
Keep an eye out for DanceATL signs throughout the park, and send us a DM on Instagram or call 404-465-4831 if you need help finding us! Free street parking is available on 8th and 9th street, and paid parking is available at Azure Public Parking and the Botanical Gardens.

To be mindful of our communal health and safety during this potluck mixer, we asked that all attendees brought their own food, drink and seating. Social distancing guidelines were maintained.

Amidst the pandemic, one of our favorite events went virtual… the DanceATL potluck mixer!
This virtual event featured an elevator pitch forum for community members to share updates and information, dance trivia games and more. Though we couldn’t share a dish or drink in person, we invited attendees to prepare their own to enjoy with us virtually.🥘
Our community committee shared a few signature cocktails for those attending to prepare and pair with your dish of choice. 🥂
Participation was free for all members and $5 for non-members.
January 26, 2020 | 4:30-6:30PM at The Schwartz Center for Performing Arts
For DanceATL’s second Potluck Mixer, folks gathered together to celebrate a new decade.
For the first half of the mixer, DanceATL invited attendees to dance and participate in National Water Dance. This national movement event highlights climate change and local water issues. At the mixer, participants learned the opening and closing phrase for the April 18 performance.
Later on, attendees were encouraged to network with other professionals in Atlanta dance, and encouraged to bring business cards, flyers, unwanted dance clothes, and a yummy snack to share with the community.
There was also time for sharing work with one another in our elevator pitch forum! Participants were invited to angage in a 2-minute talk about what they were up to this year. Whether it was celebrating a recent performance, announcing an upcoming one, sharing collaborative interest, or admitting some challenges. This encouraging activity was a blast!
