Emma Dean (she/her)

Emma is a senior Dance major at The University of Alabama. She is from Douglasville, GA and grew up around the Atlanta dance community while training at Dance Academy West. This year, Emma is the vice president of Dance Alabama! As well as the promotional director for Dance Alabama Film Festival. Over the summer, Emma attended the Commercial Dance Intensive in Big Sky, Montana and the Gus Giordano College/ Pro Intensive in Chicago, Illinois.

Grace Griffin (she/her)

Grace Griffin is a Marketing Major and Psychology Minor in the Honors Program at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. She grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and has been immersed in the arts from a young age. Over the summer, she interned abroad at a nonprofit designer vintage boutique in Florence, Italy. She specializes in communications and international outreach and hopes to incorporate this into her experience at Dance Atlanta.

Rabia Kang (she/her)

Rabia is a sophomore majoring in Marketing and Visual Arts at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina and is passionate about the intersections of artistic expression and marketing, and between visual arts and dance. Throughout her childhood, she trained in the Fine Arts and the cello and participated in various competitions. Last summer, Rabia served as a Marketing intern at AcneAway, and she currently serves as Vice President of Marketing at the Goizueta Investment Management Club. Though having no previous formal dance training, she discovered her interest in dance at Emory. Her other interests include barre and visiting art exhibits.

Kiera O’Reilly (they/them)

Kiera is a performer, creator, & advocate for the arts. Their passion for the performing arts developed at age four, where they began dance training in their hometown of Wilmington, NC. Kiera graduated from UNCSA with a BFA in Contemporary Dance in 2020, having both attended the high school and college program. At UNCSA, they had the pleasure of performing works by Doug Varone, Martha Graham, José Limón, Grady Bowman, Brenda Daniels, and Ming-Lung Yang. Kiera moved to Atlanta in August 2021, & they are extremely excited to get immersed in the dance and performing arts community here. Their other interests include devised theatre, pilates, writing, & production.

Lexie Walker (she/her)

Lexie Walker is a fourth-year Advertising major with minors in General Business and Human Services at the University of Georgia and will graduate in May 2022. She grew up in Douglasville, Georgia, but her family recently moved to LaGrange, Georgia. She danced at Southern Dance Precision for seven years and competed with their company. Over the summer, she worked her seventh summer as a lifeguard and it was her fourth summer as Head Lifeguard.

Emily Wilbourne (she/her)

Emily is originally from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. With experience as an onstage performer and theatre technician, Emily is passionate about creating live performance in every way. Furthermore, her scholarly interests in embodied ritual dances & Asian folk dances are reflected in her academic work. Her research on the secularization of Korean seungmu dance has been presented at international performance conferences, with prospective publication in journals relating to dance, religious, and Asian studies. She is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Administration from Elon University, with minors in dance, business administration, & interreligious studies.
