This four-week online course is for anyone interested in learning more about their breath and developing an open, expressive, supported voice. Participants develop skills to build their own practice, unleashing a voice that is connected, powerful, and authentic.
Fitzmaurice Voicework® centres on four primary areas:
1. Destructuring through somatic exercises to release the body from tension and to find a breath that is the spontaneous and free allowing emotions to come forth with ease.
2. Restructuring the breath so that the voice is supported and the performance is authentic without injury.
3. Presence to develop a fluid internal and external awareness while channeling whatever is present in the moment.
4. Play to engage fully with a spirit of curiosity and openness with whatever presents itself.
When: Wednesday, October 7 – 28 (7:00 – 9:30 pm)

Required: Internet connection, tablet/phone/laptop with camera and sound, comfortable clothes, a yoga-mat sized space
About the instructor:
Frances (Frankie) Mulinix is a voice, movement, and acting teacher as well as an Occupational Therapist who specializes in mental health, chronic pain, neurology, and occupational justice. She is a Certified Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®, holds an Associate Performer Diploma (ATCL) with Trinity College, London, UK, and is a certified Speech Arts Teacher with Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), Toronto, Canada. Trained in Reiki, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and Organic Intelligence, she is a member of the Voice and Speech Trainer’s Association (VASTA).
