Event Details

Want to learn how to seamlessly livestream your event or performance on a DIY budget? Join us on May 27th at 7PM to find out how! Our expert host Loren McFalls holds a degree in Television Production and has live-streamed events for New York Comic Con, Nike Women’s Marathon and Google Next to name a few. She also produced the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, an outdoor summer festival featuring independent artists.

In this one-hour interactive workshop, Loren will discuss different applications for live streaming, what equipment is necessary, the personnel needed to manage a successful event, and what skills are transferable to live streaming among our existing network & peers. She will also cover how to make a livestream more accessible to viewers with hearing impairments as well as how to keep a stream more engaging (i.e. zoom fatigue and how to beat it)! The discussion will be geared towards performances, classes, and workshops in the dance community, but the best practices can be used laterally for any type of live streaming. Time will allow for a Q&A session at the end of the webinar.

This event will be held virtually via Zoom. Closed captioning will be made available.

DanceATL members can attend this event for free and access the link via the member dashboard. Non-Members can register by May 23rd for an EarlyBird discount of $5. Registration after this date will increase to $10. Non-Members register here.
