Class #7 will be a Choreographic Storytelling through Contemporary movement and dialogue taught by Katherine Gant, Director of Refuge Dance Company. Join Katherine as she leads us through a fast-paced, fun Contemporary warm up and then helps create space and time to give you the student the keys to create and choreograph. Using all the styles and techniques and classes taught during this series, tap into your creative side using your talent and movement to connect your movement to a story and reach the audience to give them an experience they won’t forget. Katherine will touch on different techniques used by choreographers, elements, and styles as well as share her own personal approach to choreography that puts the focus on creating for the audience’s enjoyment, not our own. No previous choreography experience needed, no pressure, just fun and an out of the box look at choreography!
