“New Phases” is a 23-minute dance film, featuring over 60 dancers from Decatur City Dance, directed and soundtracked by Danny Bevins, choreographed by Meg Gourley, Kyme Hersi-Sallid, and Leslie Palmer Gourley, and produced by Neil Shastri and Monica Garcia Bradley. The film and subsequent choreography were inspired by Danny Bevins’ third music project, “The Why Not Mixtape 3. The film originally premiered in June 2021, and all proceeds of streaming go to support future creative work by Decatur City Dance, Dekalb County’s oldest performing dance organization.
