“Lucidity: Nyame Nti” uses the art of dance as a way of exploring cultural practices of ethnic groups of African origin. With a lens focused on love, social justice, and spirituality, the Adinkra African Dance Theatre explores cultural practices of African and African American people in a way that celebrates and critiques. Throughout this show, there will be pieces that show cultural practices that require change and cultural practices that require celebration. Understanding the beauty of the African diaspora for all that is good and all that needs adjustment is part of developing the connection of all people of African origin.
