La Culture Mandingue (LCM) is a traditional West African intensive led by Senegalese artist, Assane Kouyaté to honor & celebrate Manding dance, song and musical traditions. AUGUST master series will occur on Aug 10, 17, 24, 31 and will focus on Lengjen & Mendiani – dance, song & rhythms of the Casamance Region & Rites of Passage. Additional traditional dances will also be included at the instructor’s discretion. Live drumming led by master Guinean percussionist Ibrahima Dioubaté!

Open to the entire community! Let’s dance and learn how song traditions go hand in hand with movement! Want to drum? Bring a drum and join in the fun while learning technique from a pro.
