Global Water Dances (GWD) uses the art of dance to illuminate water issues on a global scale. Their work incites collaboration to address water issues through the universal language of dance, and encourages participants to take direct action aiding in the fight.

Core Dance in partnership with the Hawai’i Wildlife Fund, Hawai’i Environmental Restoration, and Volcano Art Center cultivated and performed a movement offering for Global Water Dances, on June 13th, 2021. The video performance of this work will air on their Facebook Live on the summer solstice. The airing of this performance will feature a life discussion with Artistic Director of Global Water Dances, Vannia Ibarguen and Artistic Director of Core Dance, Sue Schroeder. This event is free and open to the public.
