Atlanta Dance Medicine’s physical therapists and an array of additional leading health care professionals will provide 50 dance artists with physical and mental health screenings, nutritional assessments, and local referrals completely free of charge!

This event is based on a model created by Dance/USA that has taken place in several cities across the county and now we bring it to Atlanta! The Day for Dancer Health, is geared toward the professional dance community in Atlanta. Along with a physical screening to look for injury risk and possible areas for improved performance, there will also be providers there to meet and discuss any other medical issues that our dancers may have. This event will have mental health professionals, physicians, and dietitians with personal dance backgrounds as well as extensive experience and training in dance medicine be a part of our Day of Dancer Health. As you know, taking care of dancers is my life passion and these folks all share in that passion and want to work together to make our artist community as healthy as possible.
