“American Playground,” performed by Core Dance and choreographed by Niv Sheinfeld and Oren Laor, investigates multiple themes including “body as resistance,” personal authenticity, and the dialogue between public and private spaces. The work made its international premiere in Tel Aviv, Israel, last fall.

The Third Dance, performed and choreographed by Niv Sheinfeld and Oren Laor, touches on romanticism and its clichés: the music of Gustav Mahler, huge bouquet of flowers, and a record player. Underneath all of these re-verberates one seemingly simple request: “tell me that you love me.” At first ad-dressed to one another, at a certain point they direct the demand at the audience, expressing a persistent wish: to continue to be moved, overcome the mundanity of life, be relevant, and gain recognition – both one another’s and others’.

These performances will be presented at 7 Stages on January 31, February 1st and 2nd, 2018 at 7:30PM. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
