AREA is proud to host its 4th year of presenting Ailey Experience ATL!

This workshop is designed to expand on Alvin Ailey life-long commitment to bringing dance to the people. The Ailey Experience workshop gives dancers the opportunity to study with leading instructors and former Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater company members. Students will learn the rich history of Ailey’s signature style and how he changed the perception of American modern dance.

Join us for two days of classes with live accompanists and an in-depth study of Alvin Ailey’s masterpiece Revelations and Ailey Classics. These works feature classic blues, gospel, and traditional spirituals of Mr. Ailey’s choreography featuring; Revelations, Blues Suite, Memoria and Night Creature. Master AILEY Instructors: Lisa Johnson-Willingham, Amos Machanic, and Levi Marsman.

No experience necessary and all levels are welcomed; Ages 10 years – Adult!
