glo introduces A Night of Alchemy, a new series of activations in Historic Rhodes Theatre, beginning Saturday, February 9 at 7 pm. Featuring the special screening of the Palette agency’s new film, glo, A Night of Alchemy references the philosophical tradition of Alchemy through a cyclical meditation of film, food, and placekeeping.
glo and a group of Atlanta and international collaborators will take the next year to activate this dormant landmark with small, intentional, transformative, and socially engaged art to offer a public reflection and homecoming to this one-of-a-kind place. Historic Rhodes Theatre officially closed its doors in 1985, and was recently named by Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation as a “Place in Peril.”
