T. Lang Dance’s Black Endurance Community Program presents 808s & Meditate: The Immersion by Iam MaestroRiko at The Movement Lab ATL. More than a sound bath, 808s & Meditate invites guests to journey deeper into themselves along rhythmic soundscapes paired with immersive multimedia, movement, and guided meditation. Intentionally crafted by Iam MaestroRiko, the musical experience is amplified by the pairing of a Woojer Vest* – a bass vest featuring 6 transducers that provides 360 degrees of sensory expansion and immersion. Wearing the vest, the peaks and valleys of each musical progression and accompanying affirmation become a somatic experience like no other.

The immersion features digital musical compositions tuned to 432hz (a tuning frequency corresponding with earth’s natural resonant frequency) and composed to resonate with corresponding energy points within the body. Live and pre-recorded affirmations and mantras for balancing each of these energy points, as well as improvised instrumentation, aid in setting a charged atmosphere, conducive to a beautiful journey into the landscape of mind or deep relaxation.

As the musical experience concludes, guests are invited into an integration session with complimentary alkaline beverages as well as intentionally guided group and individual integration exercises.
