There are times you just don’t know how to express the rumblings of the heart, the nagging of thought with no words, the tantrum, the happy (or was it a sad tear). Sometimes it is all too overwhelming to sort and pride and joy are difficult to contain. It’s confusing to untangle whether you should say something or keep it to yourself. Feelings are hard to grow, nurture and mature but worth the time. Ironic to try and tame an infant when the child inside just wants to curl up in a ball or jump off a swing with a death-defying arch.
Join us this month as we explore moving through the FEELz.

For Core Dance’s 2022-23 REEL Art Series, Loren McFalls will present her film on Friday, March 31. A pre-screening experience with Loren as an entry point into her creative process will begin at 6:15 PM, and a reception and a screening with will follow at 7 PM. Loren McFalls’s film “|community|” will stream nightly from March 31 to May 25.
About her film, Loren says “I wanted to bring together a group of humans who didn’t necessarily know each other. Bringing together our unique experiences, we created a micro-community in the making of this piece. It’s a lot of contact-improvisation combined with choreography that we’ve learned together. I want to evoke a sense of community building as we, as a group, work together and explore movement.”
