The residency includes:
-
Access to the Windmill White Box, June 5 – June 30, 9:00am-2:00pm, Monday through Friday.
-
All-day access to the Windmill Black Box on June 30th. This can be a tech day and a performance day, or a filming, or a work-in-progress, etc.
-
Access to all technical and artistic capabilities of the Windmill Arts Center and Fly on a Wall, except for expendables (e.g. Tape, Special Flooring, etc.).
-
Two required community engagement opportunities to be led by the Artist-In-Residence.
If the Artist-In-Residence chooses to have a ticketed performance, all proceeds will go to the Artist.
All applications will be reviewed by a diverse group of panelists, and the top three candidates will be interviewed by the Fly on a Wall Team.

Bringing the elements back into the community! Come join FyreNation Crew on Sunday March 12, 2023 at Freeside Atlanta, and share your love for the community by rocking out the way it used to be done!
– This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY cypher, so please no marijuana or alcohol, and since this is a place that appreciates the culture, please clean up any trash you leave or we will not be allowed to do this again.
– ALL MUSIC WILL BE EDITED, this is a family-friendly event, and families usually do come with small children, as well as, community supporters who provide funding for our outreach, classes, other events, and also to appreciate the culture.
– SHARE THE CYPHER, no lockouts, performances, blocking or shrinking the cypher will be allowed. We ask that the cypher remain in a semi-to-full circle to allow onlookers, cameras and other viewers to see the dancers on stage without obscured views. We also ask that cinematographers and photographers refrain from blocking other cameras or interfering with the cypher, as we would like any and all dancers to be free to move about the dance space. The idea is to encourage, inspire and display the original energy and talent of the HipHop community in its raw form, so now showcases or staged performances are allowed.
– CLEAN UP ALL TRASH, and leave the area nicer than you found it. once again, no smoking, marijuana or alcohol will be permitted since this is a FAMILY-FRIENDLY event, and doing anything disruptive such as profanity, fighting, using illegal substances, etc. will most likely result in misrepresentation of our culture and a permanent banning of the use of this space. We intend to properly represent the HipHop community, let’s keep it that way.
Please register via the Eventbrite link, and remember the cypher is FREE, but we do accept donations to the cause to help us secure spaces and work on bigger events for the future. To donate, feel free to purchase one of our $5 donation tickets, or visit our GoFundMe page here: https://gofund.me/6ce98a17
Anything given is much appreciated!

Self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet is excited to exhibit again at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. The book festival will take place on April 22-23, 2023, at the University of Southern California (USC) University Park Campus.
It will be ReadersMagnet’s fourth time (including the digital edition in 2020) to exhibit at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. As usual, we will bring over hundreds of new and exciting titles by up-and-coming and established authors, as well as authors for meet-and-greet sessions, which are something that you should check out at our exhibit booth no. 225.
We invite you to visit our booth at the L.A. Times Festival of Books for stories that could be written by YOU! Come and interact with authors that you may have never heard of yet whose stories will not only inspire but also resonate. Let’s celebrate the written word together and create unforgettable moments.
For questions or more information, call 1-800-805-0762 or email us at info@readersmagnet.com. You could also visit www.readersmagnet.com for more info.

Event Details
Nose to the Rhinestone began as a social media accountability network that was created by Bazuka Joe. According to Bazuka Joe, #NoseToTheRhinestone* was “created in an effort to get folks motivated, and it served its purpose well at the time.” Now, you can search the hashtag on most social media channels and see the incredible work and dedication that many burlesque performers have chronicled with this hashtag. We have created this burlesque brunch show as a part of our Weekend With series to inspire Atlanta burlesque performers to put their noses to the rhinestone and create something that can then be peer reviewed by some of the best in our industry!
The show features performers who are provided act feedback by Po’Chop, instructors of The Atlanta School of Burlesque, and some of our performers from our Saturday night show, Disclosure: A Burlesque Experience.
Tickets include brunch and bottomless mimosas.
Brunch Menu – TBA
Doors & Brunch 11:00 AM, Show 11:30 AM
