You are formally invited to DanceATL’s Potluck Mixer on September 15 from 5:30-7:30pm at the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts. Here are some fun details:

Potluck: Bring a yummy treat to share because we all know “happiness is great food and great company.” To avoid any messy clean-ups, here is a list of suggested finger foods:
chips
pretzels
salsa/hummus/dip
fruit
carrots
brownies
cookies
cupcakes
rolls
soda
juice
plates
cups
napkins
PLEASE don’t bring anything that may require utensils.

Elevator pitch forum: Have the opportunity to announce what’s happening with you this season. Looking for dancers? Have an upcoming show? Have new faculty you’d like to announce? An exciting workshop around the corner? Looking for advice? You’ll have 2 minutes to deliver an elevator pitch. Sign-up here. P.S. You are allowed to bring a cheat sheet with you, and additional flyers to pass out as well!

Dancewear Swap: Have any old dancewear or costumes that no longer bring you joy? Marie Kondo your closet and donate them at the event. Need some new threads? Donate $2 to shop the pile (cash only). Tutus, leotards, shoes of all styles, pants, blouses, unitards, you name it and we’ll take it! Below are instructions for those that still want to donate their clothes but can’t make the event:
-You can drop off dancewear to Core Dance offices at 517 N. McDonough St, Decatur, GA between Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. You can temporarily pull up in the lot, ring the doorbell, drop off in a designated box, and must immediately leave. Any cars left in the lot are subject to be towed.
-If you cannot drop off during those times, please email operationsmanager@danceatl.org to coordinate a time to meet with Jacque.

Community dance reel: Email info@danceatl.org with a dance reel, trailer, announcement, photos and we’ll project it on a wall at the mixer. Videos must be silent. Please email materials by Saturday, September 7.

Announcement table: Bring all the flyers, business cards, brochures, handouts, and posters and we’ll lay it all out for people to browse and keep. You will also have the opportunity to join a DanceATL committee.

BONUS: Watch an open rehearsal of Staibdance‘s newest work “Fence” from 4:30-5pm.

All of this and more! We are excited to gather, celebrate, and share the start of a new dance season.

If you’d like to volunteer, you can sign up here! We can’t do it without the help of all the amazing people that make up DanceATL. We are looking for greeters, help to set up and strike, photographers, and more. Most slots are only 20 min increments so you can still enjoy the event!

Follow DanceATL on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to keep up to date with the mixer.

Questions? Suggestions? Email operationsmanager@danceatl.org. We hope to see you there!
